ROLE:

  • Ivanka – (Playable of age of 4 to 8)

She is the young daughter of the main character, “Girl” and described as sweet-natured, shy, and good-natured. She will be involved in a few of the movement elements of the show and on stage.

What to Prepare/Bring:

  • A prepared song that reflects the child’s ability. If accompaniment is required, please indicate in your email notice. 
  • A headshot and resume are welcome but not required. 
  • A parent/legal guardian MUST be present during the audition.

Considerations:

  • Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals with the child actor will be in the early evenings once (6:30pm until 8:00pm) once a week until technical elements are added and show week. 
  • Parents/guardians will receive the performance schedule when an offer is made.
  • The detailed, daily rehearsal schedule may be drawn up on short notice (e.g., at the end of each day).
  • Walterdale Theatre will use its best efforts to give parents/guardians as much notice of schedule changes as possible.
  • Rehearsals will be created in consultation with the availability of the child actor’s parent/guardian and the needs of the production. 

Attendance & Punctuality:

  • The minor must arrive on time for every rehearsal and performance. The parent(s)/guardian(s) must confirm in writing who is responsible for the minor’s arrival and departure.

Safety and Supervision:

  • Minors at Walterdale must be accompanied by a designated supervisor (parent/legal guardian/vetted volunteer) during all rehearsals and shows.
